What is the program about?
BRIDGES gives education on how to cope with mental illness and how to be active in your own treatment and recovery. Classes include talking and practising new skills. Facilitated by peers.

Who is the program for?
People living with ANY type of mental health diagnosis who want to learn more about mental illness and recovery. This program helps people with all types of mental health diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar or schizophrenia.

How long is the group?
A 10 week program that meets once a week for 2 hours. Monthly follow-up support is available to graduates of the program.

How much do programs cost?
All BCSS programs are free!

Who runs the programs?
All programs have a minimum of 2 facilitators who are trained volunteers. Facilitators of peer programs have a mental health diagnosis themselves.

How do I sign up for a course?
Call our office at 250-868-3119 or sign up on the adjacent form.

How are programs funded?
By grants and donations. If you would like to donate money to the Kelowna branch, please call the office or donate online.
